FEES AND REBATES
PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPY FEES
The cost of a standard 50-minute session (face-to-face or Telehealth) is $230.00. This is considerably less than the current recommended fee of $300.00. Full payment is required at the time of the appointment.

For NDIS participants, the fees from 01 July, 2024 are $244.22 per 50-minute session (as set in the NDIS 'Pricing Arrangement and Price Limits). If you are self-managed, full payment is required at the time of the appointment and an invoice will be provided for you to be reimbursed by the NDIS. For those who are plan-managed, we will send an invoice directly to your plan manager on your behalf.
REBATES
Medicare (with a valid referral)
​​The Better Access to Mental Health Initiative allows eligible individuals to access a Medicare rebate for up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year. If you have a valid referral and a Mental Health Care Plan from either a GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician (if under 18 years of age), you will receive a rebate of $141.85 per 50-minute session. This leaves a gap of $88.15 per session. The rebate may be higher if you have reached the Medicare Safety Net Threshold.
Payment is made at the time of the appointment, and we will then process your rebate online. If you have registered your bank account with Medicare, you should expect this rebate to be paid within 24-48 hours.
Samantha does not offer bulk-billing.
Private
You do not require a referral to access psychological services. In this case, fees need to be paid privately and rebates may be available through your private health fund. Check with your fund for specific information about rebates for psychological therapy sessions, as we are unable to advise what the rebate amount will be. You cannot claim both private health insurance rebates and the Medicare rebate in the same session.

We do not have facilities to process a private health rebate, so once payment has been made, we will provide you with an invoice to take to your fund.
